Ideas are everywhere. Successful entrepreneurs know that not every idea is a good business opportunity. Before you bet the ranch on your idea, take the time to research who will buy your product or service and what competition you will face.
While preparing your startup endeavor, be sure to research and understand the market that you will be entering. Several organizations in the Baltimore Resource Navigator offer assistance in this area (click on the links below).

2018 Super Matchmaker Conference – Building Networks: Creating Connections to Opportunities hosted by Capital Region Minority Supplier Development Council (CRMSDC)
The 2018 CRMSDC Super Matchmaker Conference is the largest conference of its kind for ethnic minority business owners in the Washington, Baltimore, and Northern Virginia Region. The conference will feature over 50 corporations and government agencies with buyers, sourcing managers and procurement experts participating in networking activities. These activities include a one-on-one matchmaker session, corporate round table discussion, specialty workshops and a "Before the Beltway" reception. The goal of this conference is to allow MBEs to meet face to face with potential buyers, give corporations a platform to openly discuss contractual opportunities and how to do business with them, and provide specialty workshops presenting topics on industry trends.
The Maryland Small Business Development Centers and Baltimore Small Business Resource Center both offer no charge one on one business appointments to the public. Find these organizations and many more near you that provide business counseling via the Resource Navigator or give us a call at 443-451-7160.
